Looking for a couch potato? Lassie is the dog for you! She is a low-energy dog who loves to nap and hang out with her people. And she has come a long way to find a place to nap: Lassie is a "Desi Dog", a local term for a street dog in India. She was rescued by Kannan Animal Welfare staff In India after suffering a broken leg from being hit by a car. She stayed at KAW until her leg healed, and now she has come to the U.S. in search of a forever home.

Lassie is approximately 2-1/2 years old and 44 lbs. Her breed is listed as Indian Pariah Dog and she resembles a Collie mix. She is very sweet and friendly and loves people. She's good with kids and cats.. She is good with other dogs after a slow introduction. She does not have accidents in the house. She is excellent on the leash and walks slowly. She would do well with a family that is looking for a cuddly dog that does not need a lot of exercise.
